Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research in partnership with CIES (The International Centre for Sports Studies, Switzerland), one of the world’s premium bodies for Sports Management Education, conducts the prestigious FIFA/CIES Executive Program in Sports Management in India. FIFA (World’s Governing body of Football) along with CIES (International Centre for Sports Studies) established the FIFA/CIES University Network in the year 2004 ‘to give students the broadest possible vision of management in modern sports’. Today, FIFA/CIES has an established network for conducting their executive sports management programme in 15 different countries in Asia, Africa, South America and Central America, as well as in the Caribbean, the Middle East and Europe. India is the 16th country in the global map to have such a programme and 1st in South Asia to get an authorization for running such an initiative.

MOU signed with CIES (The International Centre for Sports Studies, Switzerland)

Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research announced their partnership with CIES (The International Centre for Sports Studies, Switzerland), one of the world’s premium bodies for Sports Management Education, to conduct the prestigious FIFA/CIES Executive Program in Sports Management in India.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) towards this direction was signed on 3rd December, 2018 by Mr. Pierre Cornu (President, CIES) and Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai (Chairman, Pillai Group) in the presence of Mr. Vinod Tawde (Minister for Education and Sports – Government of Maharashtra), Mr. Bimal Parekh (Co-owner – Mumbai City FC) and many other prominent professionals from the sports industry in India. read more…

Inauguration of first edition of PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management

The first edition of the prestigious PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management in collaboration with FIFA (the World’s Governing Football body) and CIES (the International Centre for Sports Studies – Switzerland) was inaugurated on the 14th September, 2019. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Vita Dani, CEO Ultimate Table Tennis League & Co-Owner Chennaiyin FC and the Guest of Honour was Mr. Roland Chavillon, Manager, FIFA/CIES International University Network, Neuchatel, Switzerland.
Over 300 applications were received from across Asia for this exclusive programme and after a rigorous admission process a cohort of 40 enthusiastic professionals were recruited for this year. read more…

Closing Ceremony of first edition of PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management

The Closing Ceremony of the first edition of the PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management was conducted online on the 12th September, 2020. Mr. Vincent Monnier, Senior Manager, International Relations of CIES and Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran, the President of Football Delhi and CIES Coordinator for India were present as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for the event respectively. read more…

Inauguration of second edition of PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management

The second edition of the prestigious PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management in collaboration with FIFA (the World’s Governing Football body) and CIES (the International Centre for Sports Studies – Switzerland) was inaugurated on the 20th November, 2020. The ceremony was attended by the 23 enthusiastic participants who registered for the Programme along with the Chief Guest Mr. Vincent Monnier, Sr. Manager International Relations – CIES and Former Head of National Associations – FIFA, Guest of Honour, Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran, President – Delhi Football Association and India Coordinator – CIES, Director of the Programme Mr. Franav Pillai, FIFA Masters Mr. Tushar Garg, Mr. Saimaini Srinivasan, Ms. Namrata Chatterjee, Mr. Harjass Singh and faculty members.
