Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research in partnership with CIES (The International Centre for Sports Studies, Switzerland), one of the world’s premium bodies for Sports Management Education, conducts the prestigious FIFA/CIES Executive Program in Sports Management in India. FIFA (World’s Governing body of Football) along with CIES (International Centre for Sports Studies) established the FIFA/CIES University Network in the year 2004 ‘to give students the broadest possible vision of management in modern sports’.
Summits and Conclaves are a medium to share and disseminate information among the sports fraternity. Eminent personalities from the sports world, both national and international, are invited to speak on the leading and emerging perspectives in the sports ecosystem. The topics are wide ranged and conducted in an interactive manner engaging audiences through networking and collaboration. The growing sports industry in India has provided immense opportunities to, both, players and non-playing professionals to make a career in this sector.
The Centre aims to disseminate and advance knowledge in sports management through research studies, projects and publications. The Centre will advance knowledge in the sports management domain through multidisciplinary research and thus contribute to the growth and development of the sports eco-system and its allied fields.
CIES conferences and Guest talks are conducted regularly for the participants of the PILLAI/FIFA/CIES Executive Programme in Sports Management. The Programme learnings are supplemented by sessions conducted by prominent national and international sports practitioners on current opportunities and challenges plaguing the sports industry.
